SERVICE: In my usual fashion I show up for a late lunch expecting the service to be great. In this case the service was not great, but it was slightly above average. I sat at the bar staffed by one and two other customers. Nachos were recommended as a “great choice” so I started to raise my expectations. I was checked on twice as I ate and did get a refill on my coke when it hit bottom.
AMBIENCE: I like the feel of Houlihan’s for what it is. I would take my wife for drinks on the way home from SF or catch a game with a buddy on a Sunday for sure. I guess I would call it business casual, a step above a Fridays for sure.
APPEARANCE: At first glance they looked good, then you start looking and those “hunter” senses go off; there is something missing. I will cover that under taste.
TASTE: The cheese did not match the description and if it did the appliance would;d have been better too. Worst salsa I have had to date, they have to kill it in favor of a few more diced tomatoes and or olives. Chipotle should have a kick and this meat did not and to be honest, they should make chunks not minced meat. If you took the total weight of the meat I bet it was just a few ounces, for $11.95 they can do better
VALUE: This area was effected by the overall taste, portion and atmosphere. Unfortunately each of those were not measuring up so even at $11.95 the value was less than average
